Direct Selling Association of the Philippines (DSAP) has been successfully organizing Industry Awards for several years now. This year’s, being the 24th , the Annual Industry Awards, having the theme “ Power Up for Maximum Performance”, is geared to unleash one’s full potential and it speaks of its members’ hard work in direct selling various products with demonstration of excellence and productivity.
The entire BCDE ballrooms of Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria last November 27, 2019 were filled with DSAP board of directors, member companies’ attendees, distinguished international guests and recipients of the awards. The atmosphere produced resounding joy and heightened inspiration to everyone as it made an impact in refueling all DSAP member companies’ efforts to become greater catalysts for success!
Hosted by a smart and good looking young guy Mr. CJ Reyes who gave justice in introducing the DSAP Chairman Joey Sarmiento for the latter’s wonderful warm welcome remarks. Our dear Chairman expressed his gratitude as he commended and thanked all DSAP member companies for their active participation in the activities and programs of the association both online and offline resulting in, among others, engagement and awareness that we, as an organization, are one in taking the issue of legitimate direct selling and viable entrepreneurship in the Philippines seriously. Also, he shared a one-minute version of the recent Anti-Pyramiding Video which was done in collaboration with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

The host roused the crowd to high level of excitement and brought the house down as he did a great job for the roll call in acknowledging each DSAP member company.
That afternoon was an extra special as the keynote speaker was marketing guru Josiah Go, former chairman of the Direct Selling Association of the Philippines, author of the very famous 8-Point Test and is the first professorial lecturer on network marketing in the Philippines and in Asia. He is recipient of The Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) award in 2001 for business education. The topics he shared was all about MLM and Pyramiding. At the end of his talk, he gave away 3 of his books to 3 lucky raffle winners. This followed by the awarding of DSAP certificate of appreciation for him in sharing his invaluable professional knowledge in Network Marketing and Anti-Pyramiding.

After which is the most awaited recognition and momentous awarding ceremony which started with the Sales Achievers Award. The awardees were divided into three batches.
It was a touching moment when the songs, “Don’t Stop Believing” and “The Climb” were sung by Jean Kiley. Both inspirational songs reminded everyone to be motivated and keep believing in themselves in making all their dreams come true.”

Indeed, the Entrepreneur of the Year awardees after being serenaded became more motivated to steal the afternoon as they brought down the house with unending cheers from the audience. DSAP member companies were so proud in producing and honoring their distributors as their independent business partners who act as warriors and succeed in business by changing many people’s lives guided by values of health, beauty, wealth, and good relationships.
Then came another intermission number, a romantic dance move by the Power Duo, composed of real-life couple who were the grand winner in the 5th season of the Pilipinas Got Talent. Their breath-holding performance was superb as it completely grabbed the attention of everyone – speechless while watching them dancing on stage in total enjoyment.

The penultimate part of the program was the awarding of the Hall of Fame achievers, wherein their individual amusing success stories with heartfelt congratulations videos from their respective families and business partners were played on the screen followed by their precious moment to come up on stage with so much elegance on their attire to receive their trophies. Fitting cap of the 24th Annual Industry Award are the words of our DSAP Chairman, that left everybody reflecting, as he echoed the words of wisdom from the late John Gokongwei, “Success is not necessarily about connections, or cutting corners, or chamba – the three Cs of bad business. Call it trite, but believe me: success can be achieved through hard work, frugality, integrity, responsiveness to change, and most of all, boldness to dream”. This has been very meaningful for everyone present in the event. It commenced and finished well to the delight of everyone.

Congratulations again to all the achievers of the 24th Annual Industry Awards, may you continue to serve as role models for the industry and may the sweet celebration of your accomplishments redound to “POWERered UP” determination and perseverance to all DSAP members to be continually inspired, productive and competitive. To God be all the glory!
